Not Me
It seems we’ve had an addition to our family without me knowing it. Someone called, “Not Me.”
“Not Me” is very messy and causes problems, usually, only in the girls’ room or in their bathroom.
The girls have seen “Not Me” because they know exactly when “Not Me” has done something.
I asked Luci and Annamarie who left this mess in their room behind the closet door and they were quick to tell me “Not Me!”
There was a mess on the floor on Annamarie’s side of the bed. All of the things on the floor belonged to Annamarie; but, she told me “Not Me” had made the mess..
I looked in the bathroom, around the toilet, and asked, “Who keeps missing the waste basket in here?” This time I heard a chorus of voices claiming, “Not Me” had been the culprit.
All I know is that “Not Me” isn’t welcome here. “Not Me” is VERY messy and none of the girls like cleaning up after “Not Me.” They look at me as if I were a cruel task master when I MAKE THEM clean up “Not Me’s” messes.
Notice that “Not Me” doesn’t know how to put a new roll of toilet paper on the toilet paper holder. It used to be that my girls didn’t know how to do that, either, except I taught them how. I KNOW they know how to change the rolls out. So, it MUST BE “Not Me” that left that half used toilet paper roll on the counter!Onto other topics. Luci has an appointment with the medical doctor as a routine check up on her medication. Don’t know when we’ll hear back about the lovely stool sample I gathered.
Having a real problem with Sushi playing to rough with Chirper. Did some reading online today about Australian Cattle Dogs (otherwise referred to as ACD’s) and found out they don’t do well with cats unless they are trained early. Guess I’ll be diligently training Sushi EARLY – more like, IMMEDIATELY. Unfortunately, Chirper keeps going back to her and making his body a tempting morsel. The ACD’s CAN be trained and that’s what I’m going to do, but I will never leave the two alone. Don’t trust Sushi’s instinct. She is behaving so well for me – better than she does for Jesse. I barely have to raise my voice (unless she is playing so hard she doesn’t hear me) and can say “No!” or “Stay” quietly and I have immediate obedience. I’m finding it’s not much different than child training and is all about consistency of discipline.
There are sweet moments with Sushi and Chirper, don’t get me wrong, but I’m keeping an eagle eye on the two.
This reminds me of “The lion shall lie down with the lamb . . . “
They really are cute and sweet together . . . when they are sleeping!Today’s To Do List:
* Luci’s doctor appointment
* Jesse’s and one child’s laundry
* Bake a cake
* Finish cleaning the school stuff off the kitchen table
* Teach
* Decide what to pull from the freezer for dinnerRissy continues to only complain of bruised muscle, praise God! Thanks again for all of the support this weekend!
Be Blessed ~

Huh! I remember NOT ME used to live at our house. He left about the same time my kids grew up.
Wait.. Not Me lives here too. How can that be?!?!
I missed all your excitement w/ Rissy the other day… How’s she doing now?
Around here we have I Don’t Know as well as Not Me.
Sushi is really pretty… for a dog!
Such a cute pic of Sushi and Chriper….they look like such good friends. Loved the post about “not me”. Have a blessed day and I am so happy to hear that Rissy’s only complaint.
Not Me lives here too. Amazing how he can get around so fast and leave so many messes.
Reminds me of this poem!!! Tina
Mr. Nobody
By: Author Unknown
I know a funny little man,
As quiet as a mouse,
Who does the mischief that is done
In everybody’s house!
There’s no one ever sees his face,
And yet we all agree
That every plate we break was cracked
By Mr. Nobody.
‘Tis he who always tears our books,
Who leaves the door ajar,
He pulls the buttons from our shirts,
And scatters pins afar;
That squeaking door will always squeak,
For, prithee, don’t you see,
We leave the oiling to be done
By Mr. Nobody.
The finger marks upon the door
By none of us are made;
We never leave the blinds unclosed,
To let the curtains fade.
The ink we never spill; the boots
That lying round you see
Are not our boots-they all belong
To Mr. Nobody.
ah yes, “not me” and “I don’t know” … those 2 individuals make me very edgy!
Great post!
I only have my youngest at home now and I think he really misses “not me”!!
“Not Me!” lives in Sweden too! They are everywhere now!
HAHA! i LOVE your “not me” story!!!!
