  • I'm Back for a Brief Moment

This past week has flown by.

In an attempt to bring everyone up to speed with what has gone on, I'll do a "mainly picture blog" and make short comments.

Our welcome mat covered in snow!

To say we had a white Christmas would be the under statement of the year!  14" of snow and drifts that totaled several feet!  For one whole day, the snow fell and blew sideways!   A record snowfall for anywhere in Oklahoma on Christmas.

We woke up to our bird, Tango, bright eyed and singing her little heart out!  I wish I could say it was a Christmas carol, but it wasn't!  Probably the Andy Griffith theme!

We did something different this year.  Instead of piling the gifts in one place, or in piles for each person, I scattered them along the "path" you would take when walking from the bedrooms to our den.

Besides gifts with colorful wrapping and bows being everywhere, it worked quite well as far as "crowd control" and small gifts being lost in the shuffle.

We gathered in the den and each child was sent to get one gift from the "pathway of gifts" and told to bring it back and open it.  After opening the gift, the box or gift bag was put in the pile of "things to save" and the wrapping paper and discarded ribbon were placed in another pile.

The pets got gifts - something Jesse always enjoys doing!

Since I received a new camera.  Pictures are stored in both and I don't have everything together to show, today.  More pictures will follow!

Each child was allowed to pick their favorite gift to hold up while I took one picture.

Luci liked her Nintendo DS and game.

                                                                        Annamarie liked her doll.
Target's version of American Girl Dolls.

Rissy also chose her Nintendo DS and a game.

The aftermath was in only ONE area of the kitchen table area and made the messy clean up not so chaotic and messy!

                                                                  Wow!  This is really blurry!

Anyway, the pictures from Stephanie's house and our celebration there on Tuesday haven't been uploaded to Xanga.

AND, a friend is getting ready to take my computer because it looks like we've picked up a virus.

If you don't hear from me, it's because I don't have a computer.  I don't know how long I'll be without.

Hope all of you have a safe New Year's Eve - if you are celebrating - and God bless your new year.

    We have no plans.

Our 13th Anniversary is on January 2nd and we have no plans for that, either.

    Be Blessed  ~
