  • Can You Hear It?

    Shhhh!

    Can you hear it?

                                                                          Luci's bedroom

Be really still and listen.   Do you hear anything?

                                                                Annamarie's bedroom

    Me either!

                                                                        Rissy's bedroom

    That's because I'm HOME ALONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                                                  My bedroom

    Sure enuff!

Jesse took the girls to their appointment this afternoon and, at the same time, Luci has her routine check up (because of the medication she takes).

The windows in our house are open.  The fresh air smells wonderful.  The only noise I hear is the leaves blowing outside, the ceiling fan over me, and the faint sound of our washing machine.

I SHOULD wrap our granddaughter's birthday presents.

I SHOULD work on my photo album.

    I SHOULD do a lot of things . . .

. . . but, after a morning of home schooling and a quicker than quick bath (no relaxing this time!), I'm a little tired and rather enjoying the solitude of the moment.

    IT FEELS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They won't be gone that long and I'm thinking of putting on some relaxing music.  I have lots of P&W music, but this time, I'm thinking some gentle background music is in order.

Dinner will be easy (chicken breasts made some way and hash brown casserole) and I only have a few loads of laundry to do (Rissy's and mine) and that will catch up the laundry.  No pressure.  No responsibility!

    AHHHH!!!! TRUE BLISS!!!!

These quiet times are so few and far between . . .

I believe I'll get off of here and go enjoy the quiet before the spell is broken!

    Be Blessed  ~

  • Yes! Savor every moment of it!

  • Enjoy yourself!

  • I love those so few and far between times Too! Glad for ya!

  • If you're trying to make me jealous, it's working!!  I said something about having my kids gone and a quiet house one time and a lady told me, "Oh I never wanted to be away from my kids when they were little."  POOR KIDS!!! ha ha  I'm sorry but I think that's a weird unhealthy attachment if you ask me.  It does a body AND a mind good to give it a rest from everything, including husband, children, responsibility, you name it, even if it's just for a bit.  You'll be SO refreshed when they all come home later.  Good for you!  Have a good day ~  ♥

  • Hope you had a nice quiet rest! Looks like they cleaned their rooms well before they left!

  • Wonderful! I hope it was peaceful and refreshing to you!

  • @InnerJoy -

Yes they cleaned their rooms before leaving (I cleaned ours!). Things aren't done perfectly, but I'm REALLY PLEASED with the Chore Pack system.

  • How nice that you were able to enjoy your quiet time.  I also enjoy my quiet time too.  The new BIG puppy keep us hopping, so when she's sleeping.it's so nice!  I love my husband and my dad, but when I'm home alone..it's so restful. I am also just as glad when we're all home together.  I pray you were refreshed! Blessings.
