  • Have Just a Minute

    We need to start school and no one is ready, so I'm slipping on here to share a few pictures.

    Still no word (or signs posted) about Little Bit being missed or a run away dog.  It's starting to rain, which means Jesse will have to stop mowing, and this may be the day that we take him to PetSmart to be scanned for a microchip in him.

    For some reason, he has taken a liking (or DISliking!!!!) to Stormy.  She stares down at him from a dresser or window sill and he barks at her so hard his little feet come up off the ground!!!

       
    She remains still and just stares at him silently.  He can't stand it!

    I think I mentioned the wedding ring Jesse gave me years ago that was waaaay too big to wear.  I had been wearing a gold band, but it fell off several times a day, since I've lost weight and my fingers shrunk.  I think the diamond ring was a size 8 and I needed a 5.  He had it sized and I've been wearing it for about a week, now.  I finally took some pictures this morning.  Not very *good* pictures . . . . but, pictures!

    There are little diamonds on the side of the band - you can barely see in these pictures
      Then, the top of the ring has a princess cut (square) diamond with 2 diamonds on each side embedded in the gold, just like the side diamonds are embedded between 2 gold bars.

    I haven't figured out how to take good close up pictures with my camera.  There is a always a blurred result.  Sorry!

    Jesse and I laughed last night.  Stormy has suddenly decided to sleep on our bed.  I brushed my teeth and came to bed and she was on MY SIDE of the bed, looking at us like she got there first, which meant I got the sofa for the night!

    She was in the middle of the bed this morning, again!  Fat, happy, and smug.

  • What a pretty ring!  I've almost thought about having my rings resized... I have to really watch them now.  Unfortunately, I think if I go w/ the half size smaller (to a 4) it would be too tight in the summer.  Not sure if they do quarter sizes or not, or if it's even worth it.  I've lived w/ my ring finger curled under for 22 years... what's another 20 years?

    Poor Stormy!  She's getting it from all sides now, isn't she?

    Lori, they DO size rings to a 1/4 size. I used to wear a 4 1/4 and probably need a 4 3/4 right now. The 5 is working okay - a little loose, but not slipping over my knuckle. The gold band was probably a 5 1/2 or 3/4 and slide right off over the knuckle. That's why I kept finding it in the laundry basket, in my bath towel . . . LOL!!

  • Great pictures!!  You know, my camera doesn't take close-up pictures very well either.  Oh well.  I'm fighting off a sinus thing so I'm going to hit the road.  You take care and thanks for keeping us updated ~  ♥

  • My problem is my finger has fattened up since I got my ring 39 years ago! LOL! Getting it off is painful! Well, it's after 11 PM here, and I can barely keep my eyes open, so I think I will turn in for the night. Blessings to you all the way from over here across the pond where I am!
