  • Still Recuperating

I went to the chemo place early this morning to have an IV bag of saline.  This week, they have taken on another hospital's chemo patients and they were backed up.  I ended up in the same little private bedroom I had the last time I was there.  Didn't get my usual nurse; but, I didn't really need much attention.  Just someone to hook up the IV and unhook it at the end.

I need to go back again on Friday at 11:30am for the same thing.  The nurse who was covering, while my doctor and nurse are out of the office, loaded me up with some anti-nausea pills made for chemo patients and also said I could eat TUMs or drink Maalox if my upper GI bothered me.  She had talked with my doctor who didn't think it was necessary to follow up after the ER doctor saw me, unless I felt better with her seeing me.  I didn't think there was a need, either.

We went for Chinese food after Jesse picked me up.  Ate mainly rice and it felt okay . . . well, for the first two hours after eating, anyway.  Have had a queasy stomach after arriving home.

We went to Wal-Mart after eating, me in a motorized cart again, and picked up a few things.  You know?  Juice, dog food . . .   Important stuff like that!

Anyway, I'm trying to read email and rest at the same time.  Luci's birthday is tomorrow and I'm resting today.  We won't do anything huge - just cook her favorite meal, open gifts and have cake.  The girls are with Stephanie over night and she will bring them (and JanaLyn) back tomorrow around lunch time.

That's it from my boring neck of the woods!

    Be Blessed   ~

  • Oh Cherylyn...you do have your adventures, don't you? I'm so glad that they're keeping you hydrated and that you had a very understanding nurse at the ER. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as well as those of my congregation.

  • Catching up on posts.....grace to you this week.

  • I'm so sorry I missed you Monday post and that you had to go to the ER.  Thankfully and praise to the Lord that you're ok.  Thank God for that nurse who truly could understand what you've been through.  Please wish Luci a very Happy Birthday. I continually and will continually pray for you. Love and hugs, Jill
