Tuesday Second Edition Update
Nothing ever goes as planned with me or mine. My surgery will NOT take place April 17th. They are sending me to an oncologist tomorrow (praise God I got in quickly) and will do chemotherapy before surgery.
They are concerned about the bone (T-2 vertebrae) and want to shrink that area and the lymph gland before doing surgery. THEN, it looks like I'll be facing a lumpectomy instead of a mastectomy, much less a double mastectomy.
I'll know more tomorrow after my morning appointment.
Totally turns around our plans for JoAnn to be here for my surgery. Doesn't look like ANY surgery will be done until summer. I'd guess at least 4 treatments of chemotherapy at 3 week intervals.
So . . . we wait.
Too many people & too much going. I'll update when I know something!
Be Blessed ~

While I hate to hear that your plans have been "re-arranged", I am thrilled to hear that they can shrink the area with chemo first and then you'll just have to have a lumpectomy. THAT is good news, in my book.
Any other questions/thoughts/rants, or whatever you have, about anything concerning this beast we call breast cancer, don't hesitate to message me!
Love ya!

That sounds like good news- a change of plans for the better.
This sounds like a better idea... will pray that the best decision be made for you.
Hugs and prayers,
Tina
Are we right to assume this is a better prognosis?
Dear Cherylyn,
I have been thinking about you and praying for you. Although I'm sure you are not looking forward to chemo, this does sound better than the surgery that was planned.
I've also been thinking about all you went through this past year trying to get more foster children and all the frustration you had. But God knew what was ahead, didn't He? Thank God He IS in control and works ALL THINGS for our good.
With love and prayers,
Judy
