  • The Birthday Bash - Part Two

I'm pretty sure after this last batch of photos, we'll be finished with Rissy's birthday party and I will no longer punish you with reels of family pictures!

What would a birthday in our house be without animal pictures????  I mean, people aren't the *ONLY* ones who live here.  We have pets, too!

The cats have always come out of hiding and shown lots of interest when it's time to open gifts.  Especially gift bags with their crunchy tissue paper that floats into the air when you crawl under it!

Stormy is our veteran b-day paper cat and usually the first one on the scene when it's time to unwrap things!

I think she was checking out her face in the glass before turning to have her picture taken!

Chirper really got *into* the tissue paper.

The two cats started circling the wrapping and tissue paper pile and entered from different points.  I don't know what would have happened if they had met, nose to nose, underneath that mass of paper!!!

Can you see Chirper on the left and Stormy on the right?    The next picture is reversed - Chirper on the right.

Eventually, Stormy startled Chirper.  She stuck her paw out and hissed from under the wad of papers.  Chirper jumped straight up in the air - no steps - just *straight up* into the air and then flew backwards while in the air.  We really laughed.  I was sorry my camera wasn't faster to catch Chirper's straight up and fly backwards movement!

This was right before he did his straight up in the air jump.  She pounced!   He jumped!

Sushi's self-appointed bedtime is right around 8pm.  She just craters and can barely keep her eyes open.  Stephanie is in love with Sushi and can't leave the poor thing alone.  Can't even leave her alone when she is sleep!

    Poooooor Sushi!!!

Stephanie just wouldn't leave her alone!

Jesse had the girls get ready for bed while I cleaned up the kitchen and Stephanie got JanaLyn dressed into street clothes (remember the tea party dresses???) and ready to go home.  Next it was poor Chirper's turn to be kissed, hugged, and squeezed by Annamarie!  He was pretty worn out, too!

I'm sure our pets have their moments of wishing we didn't love them so much!  Kinda like, "Enough is enough, alright already!"

So, those are the last of the birthday pictures.  The girls were exhausted.  Jesse was exhausted.  I was exhausted.  The cats were exhausted.  Sampson had long before gone to bed.  Tango's bird cage was covered and she was quiet.  And only Sushi was left up.

    But not for long.

    She was going . . . going . .

    GONE!

We carried her to bed and turned out the lights!

    Nighty night!

    Be Blessed  ~
