Sleepless/Toothless In Oklahoma
Sleepless:
I couldn’t fall asleep last night. I read for a while and turned out the light. I felt the beginning of a headache at the base of my head/neck. I figured I had held my head funny while reading and waited for the headache to go away. Finally, at 2:00am (!!!!!!!!!!!), I got up and took two headache/migraine pills. Finally fell asleep around 2:30 and slept until 8:30. That’s my bare minimum of sleep I need to be able to function the next day. And, I’m *barely* functioning. Thankfully, the headache is gone this morning.
Jesse left for work while I was still in the shower and we missed our time to visit together. Well, *I* missed our time together. He, very well, may have enjoyed some time alone!!!!
Toothless:
When I erased all of the pictures on my camera, I erased the ones of Luci’s two missing, lower teeth. I took pictures again this morning.
She also said she wanted to show me “a trick.” Her “trick” was the fact she can press her tongue against the back of her lower teeth and her tongue bulges through the two holes! I took her picture doing “the trick” to appease her!
Luci has been complaining of a sore knee and leg muscle for the past few days. She was crying last night. I think this malady must be real. I called the doctor’s office (where Annamarie’s throat and ears will be rechecked) and they agreed to check Luci’s leg at the same time. It’s the same place the two of them go for therapy, which is good – less travel and gasoline!!!
I should have, but didn’t, work on our taxes yesterday. I don’t know how it happened, but I got side tracked and ended up cleaning the home school book storage area (it’s still on the kitchen table in piles). I also got the new phonics books out with the intention of distributing them on Monday. I think I’m intimidated by our tax preparation this year and I’m avoiding it. So dumb. There’s thousands of dollars in refund money coming to us, if I would just prepare the taxes. (sigh) Such a sloth!
The girls cleaned almost the whole house, yesterday, without being asked! They dusted, cleaned glass, picked up small toys from the floors, and cleaned both bathrooms. I was grateful and forever indebted to their sweet gesture of helping without being assigned chores.
Dinner last night was the leftover pot roast cut into small cubes, gravy made, and served over noodles. It went over well and the family decided I need to start making more pot roast than we need for one meal and fix beef noodles each time as a secondary meal! It was easy, at least, and especially good since the table was covered with home school stuff. I cleared three places for the girls and Jesse & I ate in the den. I’ve decided I’m an organizer and pile maker, but not so great at putting stuff away! I know everything that’s in each of my little piles. LOL!
Today’s To Do List:
* EAT BREAKFAST (I’m starving!)
* Give Rissy her math and spelling tests (the only things on my school planner today)
* Get us all dressed and ready to go
* Therapy appointment (and Annamarie’s & Luci’s check up)
* Pick up a prescription for Jesse
* Post office box
* Bank
* Grocery shopI think it will be leftovers for dinner tonight. Have to make sure there ARE enough leftovers, first! If not, I may pick up a rotisserie chicken at the grocery store. I’m usually not in a mood to cook after being gone all day. Groceries have to be put away, pets tended to, etc.
Be Blessed ~

We have all the stuff we need to do our taxes, except TurboTax.
I priced it at Walmart this morning – $54.88!
Are you kidding me? Filing better be FREE at that price! We may be looking at an online program… I’ve seen some free ones advertised.
Happy weekend!
Maybe Luci is having actual growing pains.
It’s so great the way your girls can clean! ~~ We have taxes to do for American AND Denmark!
~~ Hope your headache is gone for good, and I hope our little Luci’s leg is OK!
Good to have another peak at the life in your household! I, too, hope Luci’s pain is nothing serious. One of my girls complained a lot with her leg when she was little and the doctor told us it was growing pains. Hope your day is much better today, and that you are able to sleep well tonight.
Love, Judy
oh! how i remember sticking my tongue thru missing tooth holes!
Neat trick Luci!
Hope the doctor’s appointments went well.
Your stroganoff sounds yummy! Blessings for your day~Dawne
