Yaaaawn!
It’s 7:30am, VERY EARLY, for me. I’ve had a few sips of coffee, started the Crock Pot with my barbecued little smokies (the item we’re taking to our foster class’s potluck) and will have to be in the bathtub in a minute.
I’m going to pick up the babysitter and bring her back here, show her around the house, and then we need to leave for our class by 9:30am. She lives a 30 minute drive away. That’s an hour of driving! My girls like her. I’m just glad we found someone willing to watch THREE children at our house!!! And, she only charges $4.00/hour. Yay!
I ran off yesterday without the deposit slip and check, but it worked out. I went by the post office and there were at least a half a dozen more checks. Jesse brought home checks with him after working all day. That will make for a bigger deposit on Monday.
I had a very strict list I stuck to at Wal-Mart yesterday and really only stopped long enough to pick out an anniversary card for my parents. On impulse I bought bagels and cream cheese and 2 place mats the kind of match what I have. With the extra foster children, we’ll be short a place mat or two. Still . . . I was in there an hour and a half!!!! I think it was very crowded and the lines were a little longer than when I normally go.
I was pretty tired last night and made sloppy Joe’s for dinner on paper plates. Just as I was about to serve, someone who has painted for us in the past stopped by. He looked at the outside of our house and said he’d paint the whole thing for $450!!!! I showed him the girls’ bathroom, a room I’ve intended to paint 4-EVER, but put off doing. He said he’d paint it for $50. So, next week there will be lots of painting, but not all done by me!
Better run, I’m moving slow because I’m not awake!
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

How soon do you expect the new foster children? Hope your day goes well – for you guys in your class AND for the girls at home with the sitter.
My kids always thought it was a great adventure to be left home with a sitter… lol. Maybe because we didn’t do it very often. Sounds like a great deal on the painting! Have a wonderful day~
Great blessings with the painting! Have a good day~Dawne

They still haven’t sent a social worker to our house to “view us and ours” or to do a home study. So who knows? I’m not sweatin’ things this time. It IS a government office and full of overworked people with reams of bureaucratic paperwork to push. The children SHOULD be placed immediately, because sibling groups are hard to place, but who knows? Well . . . GOD knows; but, surely no one else!
You will have the youngins when you are SUPPOSED to have them. At least you have everything out of the way that YOU had to do. Hopefully you will get that social worker guy that you really liked and that really liked you!
