  • Prayer Request

I have done something unusual (yeah, leave it to me) and would like to ask for the prayers of anyone who might be reading this on Sunday.  I know not many people get online on Sunday, but I do hope those who read this will pray for me.

Long story short:  Yesterday, Luci was running away from me and I caught her with my left arm.  I also, held her with the same arm (her in mid air) and spanked her with my right hand.  She isn’t a light weight child.  My left arm muscles from elbow to armpit were sore last night, and Annamarie rubbed them – but, truthfully, it was almost too painful for her to touch those muscles in my arm.

I woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible pain in my left armpit.  I took some Darvocet (left over from a root canal at the dentist’s) but I dreamed all night of doing things that hurt my left armpit.  I woke up around 3:30am and took another Darvocet.  Still more dreams.

I was almost in tears and would have taken a warm bath, but was afraid of waking up Jesse with the water running.

I DID soak in a warm bath this morning and have taken some Ibuprofen, but I noticed a huge swelling in my armpit, down into the side of my left breast.  It sometimes throbs and sometimes just has a continuous sharp pain.
All I want to do is sit still.  I keep moaning because of the huge amount of pain and constant dull ache.

I have company coming in Tuesday afternoon and want this to be past me by then.

Thanks to all who see this and pray.

  • OUCH! Is it hot to the touch? Is it possible that swelling could be a blood clot? I would NOT mess about. I think I would go to the emergency room.

No, Mae, it’s not hot, not hard, and is basically just a soft tender lump; exactly like a sprained ankle. My arms and wrists are traditionally (from my mom’s side) the weakest part of my body. I shouldn’t have picked her up, but did so without thinking. I was aware of the strain on my arm at the time I held Luci, but never knew you could sprain/strain your armpit! I took 4 Ibuprofen this morning and it IS easing up a bit. At least when I walk, each step doesn’t feel like it’s jolting my armpit!

OK! I was really worried for a minute, there! I kept reminding myself that God would let you know if it was serious enough to require immediate medical attention, but y’know… when you care about people … you just want the best for them. I’m glad it’s easing up a bit. Just rest and don’t RE-sprain it!

  • Praying that everything will be back to normal as soon as possible!

  • Will pray that you heal quickly!

  • Oh!  I hope you’re feeling much better today!

RYC:  Here is a youtube clip w/ her music.  It’s about twice as long as what she’ll use.  I’m not sure what’s cut out, but she can only have about 1-1/2 minutes for the routine.  (BTW:  I didn’t actually watch the whole clip, so I hope there’s nothing on there offensive.  I think it was just simply pictures.  Anyway….. )
