P.S. To Thursday
The answer to “what’s up with the sunglasses?” from yeseterday’s post/picture . . .

They all had just returned from the eye doctor after having their eyes dilated and they *claimed* they needed to wear the sunglasses in the house, too!
Annamarie will need to wear glasses full time and Rissy will need them for bookwork. Rissy didn’t take the news well, she cried and said she didn’t want glasses. We explained it was mainly for school work or coloring books and she cheered up after that.
They should receive their glasses in about one week.

Now they make glasses for kids that are very lightweight and look really cool! I am sure they will like being able to see better. Blessings on your day!
I was thirteen when I got my first pair of glasses. The first day I wore them to school my history teacher said to me: “guys don’t make passes at girls who wear glasses.”
I got my glasses when I was 10! Couldn’t do without them! JayBerry was 7 and he loves to be able to see clearly! He just had them straightened as he laid them on the floor instead of on the cupboard when he went to shower. Getting out he stepped on them! We got 2 pair for the price of one and he broke one already.
It makes me very satisfied to look at your little girls in their dresses. I can sew for the little girls I never had!
Blessings on your day!

I was either 10 or 11 and in the 5th grade. I remember being amazed at how easy it was to read the blackboard and trees weren’t big fluffy green blobs but actually had individual leaves!
I only use my glasses for distance; like TV, in the grocery store, driving, etc. If I wear them while reading, everything is blurry – something new with my “old” age! I can still thread a needle without any glasses, but I keep a pair of reading glasses (purchased at Wal-Mart . . . OF COURSE!) when I’m reading smaller print. It makes it a bit easier. I used to wear contacts until the problem cropped up of not being able to see things close up (when my near-sighted vision was corrected by contacts). The first time I noticed the problem, I was trying to read a Tylenol bottle and it looked like the printing had gotten wet and smeary. I tried several more Tylenol bottles and then finally grabbed a vitamin bottle and realized the problem was ME!

The girls chose dark frames for Annamarie & lighter brown frams for Rissy in a light weight wire rim. I don’t see how they will possibly survive small children! They look VERY flimsy to me, but I wanted them to be happy since they were the ones wearing them.

But, I noticed you got married despite your teacher’s condemning statement! What a mean thing to say!
I got my glasses in 7th grade. Everyone else had them so I wanted them too. I hate them now. I am blind without them and cannot see with them *sigh* I can’t wear contacts and I can’t have Lasik surgery either.
I have a fear of losing or breaking my glasses and I would just be LOST.
