A Little Bit of a Routine
Today we are trying to assume a “usual day” – whatever in the world is “usual” for us!
The girls are homeschooling in their most typical “school uniform” as you can see!
I am trying to return to my teaching, somewhat, and still be available for our company. As you can see, this is one of those days where everyone is still in nightgowns. We’re doing laundry and younger ones are being bathed.
Jesse has left today to catch up on his lawn work. He bought a new F-150 Ford truck yesterday (0% financing) and we pray we will be able to pay the truck off without giving out any interest payments! We’ll worry about the balance as that day draws closer (in 60??? months). I’ll take a picture of his truck and maybe post it soon.
I think I’m fixing cranberry chicken for dinner tonight. JoAnn took us out for steak last night. The adult steaks were wonderful, but they messed up 3 of the 4 children’s steaks and ending up sending them home in a box – no charge. My 3 girls ate their steaks after we arrived home. They weren’t starved because they were full enough from the rolls and fries at the restaurant.
It was nice to catch up on sleep last night. We had lots of tornadoes roll through on Sunday night and I was up watching the weather most of the night. The tornado sirens went off 4 or more times – I lost count.
Today is cold and tomorrow will be colder (low 50′s) which is a switch from Sunday’s 80′s and Monday’s earlier 78. No humidity, so it’s feeling really chilly today. So typical of this time of year for us in Oklahoma. Tornadoes and sultry temps in the morning and cold and windy in the afternoon after a cold front moves through. We can probably put up most of the winter clothes and a few light weight items need to be brought down from the attic – but no major change in clothes just year!
Today might be a better day to bake the banana bread my company has requested! They said what James had brought home from his visit here was tasty! We’ll see how my times goes!
