We're Okay
We are truly blessed. 75% of Oklahoma City's area is without power, but we HAVE power at our home. We still have room to take in someone or some family, but no one has wanted to leave their cold home! They estimate 3 - 10 days to restore power in the neighborhoods. Hospitals and main route areas come first, leaving homes with trees, that could continue to fall, the last on their priority list. The electric company doesn't want to restore power and then have to come out again because of more limbs on the same branches.
Jesse bought more "get-by" food yesterday just in case we end up with a houseful of people. The rain is falling in buckets today and will refreeze tonight. Should be clear tomorrow, Wednesday. Thursday & Friday have possibilities of more freezing rain or even snow. Snow would be welcome, at this point!
Luci's daycare closed early yesterday and was back open today. JanaLyn is staying here. Stephanie hurt herself yesterday, slipped on the ice, and strained a tendon that runs through the arch of her foot. She just returned from the doctor and he said "time" would cure it, and loaded her with prescriptions.
Nothing much to write about. It's wet and cold and the local channels are interrupting regular programming for weather updates. The girl's have the cable tv turned to a Christmas music station and are all dancing and being silly in front of the fire in the den. That's the most excitement around here!

Glad to hear you're okay! I saw pics on the news last night of ice, I think it was in OK City, & thought of you! Stay warm! ~Lori
I wanted to call you but figured that, if you were without power, you'd want to keep your cell charged! I'm glad that y'all're ok.
Love,
Lori
